Wool is an amazing material, it can be used as insulation, fertilizer, and of course for producing amazing textiles. Unfortunately many sheep producers burn or landfill the fleeces they shear due to a lack of market opportunities.
Adult Upcycle Fashion Lab: Make a Zero Waste Top
***This is a 3 part series held on three separate days. Saturday, August 3rd, Sunday, August 11th and Saturday, August 17th.***
Register Here to reserve your spot.
In this adult-focused Fashion Lab you’ll make a box top, a zero waste fashion staple, using reclaimed fabric.
Participants will learn:
Fabric identification & how to select reclaimed textiles
Accurate measurements for sewing a garment
How to read and use a flat pattern
The class will use The All Well Box Top pattern. The Box Top is a timeless, foundational sewing pattern adapted to fit chest circumference 32" to 62". The pattern is designed for the beginner to make their very first garment or employ four distinct variations (sleeveless box top, long sleeve box top, ruffle top or a box dress) to challenge the seasoned sewist. The 3-session adult-focused class will give knowledge and confidence to continue the journey of rescued textiles and regenerated garments.
Cost: $90 for the entire series.
