Spokane Zero Waste mends for fire victims

Spokane Zero Waste (SZW) partnered with the wonderful people of Our Place to repair donated clothing for Medical Lake and Elk fire victims. SZW hosts a monthly Mend-It Cafe at this West Central Community Outreach organization, repairing donated clothing for Our Place clients and for other local service providers. Focusing on repairing clothing for the most recent fire victims was a task our menders were eager to take on.    Five menders fixed 25 pounds of clothing for those who lost all in the recent fires and an additional 10 pounds of clothing for community members in need.
